May 10th was the final climate conversation and was hosted in the Abbey theatre, Dublin. I was on after Tommy Tiernan, representing the Environmental Pillar and I didn’t really know what to expect. How was he going to marry comedy with climate change? The whole event is available on YouTube linked here.
I was pleasantly surprised when his opening line was “we’re all flucked” or something to that effect. No point beating about the bush. True to form he did a great job and finished off reading some of his own poetry. Thanks for participating Tommy!
So the scene was well primed for my call to action. I encouraged anyone who wants to get involved with the Irish transition or hosting an awareness event in their community to get in touch via email.
The blogs a little delayed and short due to the little life changing fact of moving house.
That call to action still stands. Email me if you want to take community action on climate change and don’t know where to start.
